escher_hands_drawingWelcome to this unique opportunity to meet Andrea Bocconi, author, educator and licensed psychotherapist as well as psychosynthesis therapist. His work on creative writing, particularly the art of autobiographical writing, has helped clients, therapists, educators, students and even prisoners, in different countries and many parts of the World.

Since Sumerian times, the healing aspects of self-writing have been known and in our times, we can lean on psychological experiments to understand more of the healing factors of creative writing. Giving form to thoughts and memories hidden in the depth of our inner world can be truly transformative. The founder of the science of Psychosynthesis, Roberto Assagioli, himself Always encouraged his patients and clients to write their autobiography based on the techniques of creative writing. Andrea Bocconi has further developed this as a useful addition to the therapist’s palette.

This workshop will familiarise you with the 9 different functions of autobiographic writing. Andrea uses meditation as part of his workshop and brings in examples from literature and science as well as exercises that will bring in intuitive knowledge from the past, in the present, for the future.

In offering this rare opportunity for therapists and others from the helping professions to go deeper in their own writing and at the same time gain insight into methods and exercises that can be transferred to their professional practises, we are hoping to contribute to building bridges between different therapeutic practises in the existential and humanistic fields.
